Kovaikka mezhukkupuratti/ Tindly Stir fry

Tindly Stir fry


Tindly – 4 cups, chopped long & thin

Greenchilly – 2 big, chopped

Shallots – 1/2 cup, sliced

Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

Coconut oil – 2 tbsp

Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp

Curry leaves – 1 sprig

Salt – 1/2 tsp / to taste


Heat the oil & splutter the mustard seeds. Add the curry leaves, greenchilly & onions. Fry till the onions turn light brown. Stir in the turmeric powder. Add the tindly & salt; saute for a minute on high heat.

Lower the heat & cover cook for 40 minutes. Open the lid & fry on high heat for a minute more.
