Wheat Payasam with sugar

Ingredients:-

Broken wheat – 1/2 cup

Sugar – 1/2 cup

Thin coconut milk( randaampaal) – 3 cups / use 6 heaped tbsp of coconut milk powder + 3 cups of lukewarm water

Thick coconut milk – 1 cup/ use 3 heaped tbsp of coconut milk powder + 1 cup of lukewarm water

Powdered cardamom – 1/2 tsp

Condensed Milk – 1 tbsp

Ghee – 1 tbsp

Cashews – 2 tbsp

Raisins – 1 tbsp

Method:-

Wash the broken wheat several times & cook it with sugar & thin coconut milk in your pressure cooker. Simmer for 30 minutes after the first whistle. Open the cooker when the pressure completely subsides & cook on low heat till the payasam turns thick.

Pour the thick coconut milk & bring to a slow boil. Add the condensed milk & the powdered cardamom; mix well & remove from heat.

Heat the ghee & toast the cashews till golden brown. Toast the raisins till they turn plump. Pour this over the payasam.
