Moong Dal ladoo


Moong dal / Cherupayar Parippu – 1 cup, washed & dried

Granulated sugar – 3/4 cup

Powdered cardamom – 1/4 tsp

Cashews – 1 tbsp, chopped

Black Raisins – 1 tbsp

Ghee – 8 tbsp (solid)


Roast the moong dal for 7 – 10 minutes/ till you get a nice aroma. Let cool slightly. Powder the dal & keep aside.

Powder the sugar; add the moong dal powder & powdered cardamom & mix.

Heat the ghee & toast the cashews & raisins. Pour this into the dal mixture & make ladoos from the mixture when still hot.
