These crockets are really yummy & is a a great snack/ appetiser.
Heat 1 tbsp of canola oil & add 1 medium onion (finely chopped), 1/4″ piece of garlic , 1 greenchilly (deseeded & finely chopped) & 1 big garlic clove (finely chopped). When the onion turns brown add 1/2 cup of cooked & shredded chicken & 1 egg (hardboiled & mashed). In another pan heat 2 tbsps of butter, add 2 tbsps of flour & quickly stir in 1 cup of whole milk when the raw smell of flour disappears. Cook till the mixture turns thick, add the chicken-egg mixture, salt, pepper powder to taste, chopped cilantro, 4 sliced shallots & 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Let this mixture cool completely.
Make cylindrical rolls from the mixture & refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Beat an egg & keep aside. Dip each roll into the beaten egg, roll in stale bread crumbs & deep fry in hot oil till golden brown on both sides.
