Apple crisp with Marie biscuits

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C.
  2. Cook 4 medium apples ( remove seeds & chop the apples without removing their peel) adding 1/2 cup of sugar+ 2 tbsps of water for 15 minutes. Mash the cooked apples & add 3/4 tsp of cinnamon powder. Transfer the mixture to a oven proof dish.
  3. Mix together 2 heaping tsps of butter & 1/2 cup of sugar. Add 3/4 cup of coarsely chopped walnuts + 1/2 cup of coarsely crushed biscuits ( marie tea biscuits) & mix. Add 3 tbsps of milk & mix. Spread this mixture over the apple mixture.
  4. Bake at 200C for 20 minutes/ till brown & crisp at top.
  5. Serve warm with vanilla icecream.
