Sesame Corn rolls

You will need 4 slices of white bread for this recipe.

  1. Heat 2 tbsps of oil in a pan & add 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion. Cook till the onion turns golden brown in color.
  2. Add 1/2 tsp of crushed garlic & 1 finely chopped greenchilly & cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add 1 cup of cream style sweet corn & mix well for a minute.
  4. Add 1 tsp of tomato ketchup, 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of pepper powder & 1 tsp of white vinegar. Cook for 2 minutes till almost dry. Let cool.
  5. Cut the sides of a bread slice, keep on a rolling board. Press applying pressure with a rolling pin so that the holes of the bread close.Repeat with the other slices of bread. Keep aside.
  6. Mix together 3 heaping tbsps of cornflour & 1/4 cup of water in a wide dish.
  7. Spread a layer of sweet corn filling on each bread slice. Roll the bread carefully. Stick the ends using the cornflour slurry. Cut edges of the roll to neaten them if required.
  8. Scatter 1 tsp of white sesame seeds & 1/2 tsp of black sesme seeds on a platter.
  9. Dip each roll in cornflour slurry & roll over the sesame seeds. Wrap in a foil till serving.
  10. To serve, deep/ shallow fry each roll in hot oil till nicely browned & crisp.
