All purpose flour – 1.5 cup
Baking powder – 2.5 tsp
Powdered cinnamon – 1 tsp or as per taste
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Sunflower/ Canola oil – 1/2 cup
Caster sugar – 1 cup
Eggs – 2 numbers, large
Whole Milk – 3/4 cup
Apple – 2 numbers, peeled, cored & thinly sliced
Vanilla essence – 1 tsp.
Preheat the oven to 180C. Line a cake tin with parchment paper, grease it & keep aside.
Sift together the flour, cinnamon powder salt & baking powder. Keep aside.
Beat together the eggs, caster sugar, vanilla essence, oil, milk & the sifted dry ingredients in your mixer/ blender.
Fold in the sliced apples. Transfer the cake batter to the greased tin.
Bake at 180C for 35 – 45 minutes. Let cool in the cake tin for 10 minutes before inverting the cake onto a rack to cool completely.
Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
