Pastun style Chicken kaima fry

  1. Grind together 500 grams of chicken mince+ 1 small red onion + 5 greenchillies+1 tsp of ginger garlic paste+1/2 cup of cilantro+1/4 cup  of pudina/ mint leaves+ 2 tbsps of grated coconut+1.5 tsp of coriander powder+1/4 tsp of turmeric powder+1/2 tsp of garam masala powder+ 3/4 tsp of salt to a very smooth green coloured paste. Wet your hands & make 3″ oval shaped kababs from the mixture. Cook the kababs for 10 minutes in unsalted water ( water level should come upto half way of the patties). The water should completely evaporate.
  2. Heat 3 tbsps of oil in a frying pan & shallow fry the kababs till  they are all evenly browned from all the sides. Keep shaking the pan to ensure even browning of the kababs. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Serve hot.
