Chinese style samoosa

  1. For the filling, heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add 2 tbsps of finely chopped celery, 1/2 cup of finely chopped carrot, 1/4 cup of finely chopped beans and cook on medium high heat for 3 minutes. Add 1/3 cup of cooked and shreedded chicken, 1/4 cup of finely chopped spring onions, 1 cup of boiled noodles ( add salt while you cook the noodles), 1.5 tsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of tomato ketchup & pepper powder as per taste. Mix well & remove from heat. Let this mixture cool dowm to room temperature.
  2. For making the samoosa cover, mix together 1 cup of plain flour, 1/2 tsp of salt & 2 tbsps of ghee. Add enough water to make a stiff dough.Keep covered for 30 minutes.
  3. Take a small ball from the prepared dough & roll it into a thin circle. Place the noodle mixture in the center & bring up the edges to shape it like a MOMO.
  4. Deep fry in hot oil on medium low heat till golden brown & crisp.
