Chocolate atta Burfi

  1. Heat 4 tbsps of oil in a broad pan. Add 1/2 cup of atta & fry on medium low heat for 7 minutes. The mixture would be pasty.Keep this aside on a platter.
  2. In a pan, heat together 1/2 cup of sugar + 1/4 cup of water & bring to a boil. Cook on low heat till the syrup attains 1 string consistency. Add the flour-oil mixture & 1 heaping tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder. Mix well till the mixture falls out as a single thread when you drop it from the ladle. Switch off the heat & add 2 tsps of ghee little by little &  mix well after each addition.Add 1/2 tsp of vanilla essence  +1/4 of coarsely chopped cashews/ almonds & pour the mixture on to a greased plate.
  3. Mark shapes when still warm.
  4. Seperate into pieces when competely cool.
