Kerala Banana & chocolate chip cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  2. Beat 1 big/ 2 small ripe kerala bananas with 3/4 cup of granulated white sugar in your mixer/blender to a puree. Add 2 big eggs, 1 tsp. of vanilla essence, 1/4 tsp of salt, 1 tbsp of milk, 1/2 cup of melted butter, 11/8 cup of plain flour, 1 tsp of baking soda & 1 tsp of baking powder to the banana puree & beat once again.
  3. Fold in 100 grams of mini semisweet chocolate chips to the prepared cake batter.
  4. Pour the batter into a prepared 2 lb. loaf tin. Sprinkle 1 tbsp of sifted unsweetened cocoa powder on top.
  5. Bake at 180C for 35-40 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with whipped cream/ vanilla icecream.
