Savoury wheat and olive muffins


Wheat flour – 1.5 cup

Baking powder – 1 tsp

Salt – 1/2 tsp.

Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp.

Milk – ½ cup

Egg – 3 large

Olive oil – 1/2 cup

Cilantro – 1/2 cup

Black olives – 1 cup, seeded & thinly sliced

Cream cheese – 5 small triangles ( La vache qui rit brand)

Cheddar cheese – 1/2 cup, grated

Walnuts – 1/2 cup, coaresely chopped


Preheat the oven to 180C.

Sift together the flour, baking powder, pepper powder & salt.

Whisk together the eggs, oil & milk.

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients & add the wet ingredients mixture. Mix until just combined.

Fold in the olives, cheese, walnuts & chopped cilantro.

Spoon the batter into the holes in your muffin pan.

Bake at 180C for 25 minutes.

I like to have these delicious cupcakes when they are still warm.
