Naadan Kurumulaku kozhi



Boneless chicken – 1/2 kg.

Salt – 11/4 tsp or to taste

Greenchilly –  number, slit

Pepper powder – 1 heaping tsp + 1/4 heaping tsp, divided

White vinegar – 3/4 tbsp

Onion – 2 numbers, medium, finely chopped

Curry leaves – a few

coconut oil – 3 tbsps


Cook together the chicken, onions, greenchilly, vinegar, salt &  1 heaping tsp of pepper powder. Cover cook on low heat for 30 minutes or till dry. Don’t add any water for cooking the chicken.

Heat the coconut oil & add the curryleaves + the pepper powder. Add the chicken and cook till the chicken pieces are lightly browned, on low heat (otherwise the chicken will turn hard). This took araound 1 hour for me.
