- All purpose flour – 1 cup ( I used Wheat flour/atta)
- Rava – 1/2 cup
- Salt – 3/4 – 1 tsp.
- Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
- Shallots – 1/4 cup
- Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp.
- Water – as needed
- Oil to deep fry
- Mix together the flours and salt.
- Grind together the grated coconut, fennel seeds and shallots to a smooth paste.
- Add this paste to the flour mixture and mix. Add enough water to make a dough.
- Knead well for 5 minutes & keep covered for 30 minutes.
- Make puris as usual.
