Wheat and honey chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients:-

  1. Wheat flour – 1 cup
  2. Baking soda – 1/2 tsp.
  3. Baking powder – 1/2 tsp.
  4. Cinnamon powder – 1/2 tsp.
  5. Quick cooking oats – 1 cup
  6. Salt – 1/4 tsp.
  7. Butter – 100 grams, softened
  8. Honey – 1/2 cup
  9. Caster sugar – 1/2 cup
  10. Egg – 1 number, medium
  11. Vanilla essence – 1 tsp.
  12. Dark chocolate chunks (I used 72%)– 100 grams
  13. Milk chocolate chips – 3/4 cup (coarsely chopped)

Method:-

  1. Sift together the wheat flour, salt, cinnamon powder, baking powder & baking soda. Add the oats and mix. Set aside.
  2. Beat together the butter, honey & caster sugar till creamy & light. Beat in the egg & essence.
  3. Fold in the sifted flour mixture first.
  4. Add the chocolate chips and fold in. Refrigerate the dough for 2 hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  6. Shape level icecream scoopfuls of the cookie dough into balls & flatten each ball slightly. Place them on a baking sheet lined with foil .
  7. Bake at 180C for 17 minutes.
  8. Let cool completely
