Peanut, chocolate and oats bars



For the base:-

  1. Quick cooking oats – 1 cup
  2. Butter – 75 grams, softened
  3. Brown sugar – 1/2 cup
  4. Corn syrup (light) – 1/4 cup
  5. Creamy peanut butter – 1/4 cup
  6. Vanilla essence – 1/2 tsp.

For the topping:-

  1. Milk chocolate chips – 3/4 cup
  2. Butter – 1 tbsp.
  3. Smooth peanut butter – 1/3 cup
  4. Roasted and salted peanuts – 1/2 cup


  1. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  2. Line a 2 lb. loaf pan with butter paper & leave 1″ overhang along the sides.
  3. Mix together the butter, peanut butter, oats, salt, corn syrup, brown sugar and vanilla essence. Press this mixture on to the base of the pan.
  4. Bake at 180C for 22-25 minutes.
  5. Let the base cool down completely to room temperature.
  6. For the topping, melt the milk chocolate chips along with 1 tbsp. of butter by double boiling. Add the peanut butter and salted peanuts and mix. Spread this mixture over the cooled base.
  7. Refrigerate overnight till completely set.
  8. Cut into bars and serve.
