Oatmeal dosa


  1. Quick cooking oats – 1 cup
  2. Whole milk – 3.5 cups
  3. Eggs – 2 numbers; well beaten
  4. Oil or melted butter – 1/4 cup
  5. Sugar – 3 tbsps.
  6. Salt – 1/2 tsp.
  7. Plain flour – 2 cups
  8. Baking powder – 2 tsps.
  9. Butter for making the dosas


  1. Sift together the plain flour and baking powder.
  2. Mix milk and oats. Keep aside for 5 minutes. Add the beaten eggs, oil/melted butter, sugar, salt to the oats-milk mixture and mix well.
  3. Add the sifted flour mixture to the liquid mixture and fold in. Keep this batter aside for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour a ladleful of batter to make dosas. Cook both sides.
  5. Serve hot with jam/sugar syrup/coconut chutney.
