Multi-grain chocolate chip squares – eggless

Ingredients:-

  1. Wheat flour – 1 cup
  2. Ragi flour – 1/4 cup
  3. Oats – 1/4 cup; powdered in the mixer/grinder
  4. Baking soda – 1 tsp.
  5. Unsweetened cocoa powder – 2 level tbsps.
  6. Salt – a pinch
  7. Thick curd – 1 cup
  8. Oil – 1/4 cup
  9. Brown sugar – 1.25 cup
  10. Vanilla essence – 1 tsp.
  11. Semi-sweet chocolate chips – 3/4 cup or as needed for sprinkling

Method:-

  1. Preheat the oven to 170C.
  2. Sift together the wheat flour, ragi flour, oat meal, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the oil, curd, sugar and essence and whisk till the sugar dissolves completely. Fold in the dry ingredients. The batter should be of a dropping consistency. It should not be too thick or too thin.
  4. Transfer the batter to a 9″ x 9″ brownie pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the batter.
  5. Bake at 170C for 30 minutes.
  6. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
